Rules were made to be broken

Hello to anyone out there, it's my first real post here and I hope you enjoy it ♥

So what's the topic? Breaking gal boundaries of course
I'm a member of some Gal communities on Livejoural and quite often I see critics saying that something, someone posted is not GalIt sort of grinds my gears a little, it may not necessarily fall under some almighty Gal checklist but it falls under that individuals personality surely!
Fashion is amazing and it's inspiring to see what people make of it through their own perceptions. Nobody wants to be a clone ♪

So, who out there is breaking some boundaries?

Firstly, you can't ignore Nonoka

She is essentially the queen of boundary breaking when it comes to Gal
Pale, (often) dark lips and gothic inspired attire ♪
I adore reading her ameblo ands eeing her creative creations as she often makes fascinators
Not only does she have many ear piercings but she also has her lobe stretched, something I haven't seen on a Gal before
I think she should be a bigger part of EGG to show to people "Hey, you can rock not only you body but 109 too!" heehee

Secondly, good ol' Kaoru

Not only is her hair dark but it's also blue! She is daring with bold patterns and prints
She even recently turned up to the wedding of an EGG model wearing a Mickey Mouse costume, which she totally rocked


Thirdly, Kanako

Simply looking at her we can see she has yellow in her hair, daring for an un-natural colour
and she does often wear sneakers instead of the "gal must have" heels!
An inspiration for a casual Gal life
It also should be noted she has her tounge pierced and loves Jack Skellington, another gothic inspirstion


Fourthly and lastly, Romihi

Romihi has been daring with her hair in the past, dark reds and even all pink.
It's the reason I was drawn to her
She also has an eyebrow piercing!


Dark hair, dark lips, goth, sneakers > heels and piercings
All of these I have seen on the forementioned communities as "not-gal"
but here we have some amazing models working them ★


As for me? I don't recognise myself as a Gal I think perhaps I break nearly every boundary
and so I merely try my best to take influence from it and over the years it has helped me become a much happier person
I often go to clubs, dressed to impress yet will spend the night rocking away to some Enter Shikari. Who cares? Thats just me ♪
