Vivienne Westwood Pirate boots on a budget

The pirate boot by Vivienne Westwood is an iconic design
As far as I'm aware they have been in production since 1981
and to have remained a staple part of her collection, well that's something!

When in Leeds it's not uncommon to see people strutting a pair of these
But, not everyone can afford the £345 price tag the boot's bring
(If you can, the webpage to buy them is here, hehe)

So, live without a pair of pirate boots?
Or go for the next best thing, a high street brand remake of the design

I first noticed this happening a few month a go with a brown pair in Topshop
I was really lusting for them, until I saw them in store and each pair looked worn
So I couldnt imagine how bad they would look after actually being worn
However now, they have a black pair
The price tag? £70!
That's a saving of £275 (unless my math fails me)
You can buy them here from the Topshop webstore

But now the remakes are no longer solely at Topshop and I see more and more cropping up

Kudos to my mum for spotting these being worn in a Marks and Spencers advert
They're a tad more mannish that the original/Topshop design imo
and are £75, available here

Want them even cheaper? Then I have you covered!

I saw these just today and they are what inspired my post
They are from Peacocks, available here and are currently £15 in a sale!!
But even if you find them not in a sale, they are still only £25... bargain pirate boots. DONE.

Personally, as a Vivienne whore if I was to get a pair they would have to be real ♪
Will any of you be rushing out to buy some replicas?
