Recently I received my new fur tail ★
Yes, it is from a fox and jeez it's so big!!
My 'old' tail was from a Raccoon, so here's a comparison picture for you
The difference is a bit staggering!
It got me wanting to talk about the quality of fur tails
Since they are very popular this season and people are wanting to find them cheaply
I bought my Raccoon tail early in the year (approx Feb, I think)
and the fox was bought to actually replace it, yes replace, because it has gone 'bad'
How can a tail go bad?
First the seam in the split of the tail has begun to open up
(Sorry if this picture looks a little... odd haha)
The seam was never really easy to find or anything and is now open
Also, unpictured, is how the leather is discolouring
Towards the lower protion of the tail it looks a tad rotten, in my opinion
It's a very dark orangey/brown and on a few occasions the end has snapped off
It used to be at least 4" longer than it is now
So it is rather dis-heartening to blog about this
But I suppose it's also fair to warn anyone interested in real fur tails
That so far, my opinion is swayed to be that they don't last a long time is used a lot
Mine was always on my bag, so very exposed
AS for other features and their quality
My Raccoon tails was attached as such, a hole punched with a metal loop
and then the keyring could go through it
As for the fox tail
It's got a much more secure attachment
and I should also mention I haven't found the seam to the leather yet
So hopefully it's lack of easy exposure will ease off that process!
If fur isn't your thing, don't for H&M have released a faux fur tail!
Being leatherless you won't ever have these problems and your tail will last

I quite like the blend of 'fur' for it!
