Ramblings about weight problems

Since Easter 2010 I've been struggling with my weight
Before that I'd lost 2stone and managed to maintain it
Then suddenly, it just began to rise again and even more recently
I seem to gaining weight by the stone instead of by the pound and I'm almost at my heaviest

I'm starting to recognise a few things where I'm going wrong for sure
Though I am also awaiting results from a thyroid test to see if this has been having an effect

Problem #1 - Chocolate is not my friend
Chocolate is no ones friend really, but even more so for me being lactose intolerant
I really do need to stop eating it all together, it was easier to do living alone as I made sure not to buy any
and whenever I got a craving I couldnt be bothered to walk across campus to go and get some
But returning home, especially with Xmas just passing, there is chocolate in the house
So when I get my cravings, it's just there for me to munch
and I wont bother replacing it with anything else
Solution - Plead with parents to never ever buy chocolate, or at least keep it to biscuits, I hate biscuits!

Problem #2 - Lactofree =/= fat free
Now this isn't a bitch at the company Lactofree itself, I love them and what they make is amazing
Their milk tastes like regular milk too which is great for those who want to have it and can't
But... Just because something isn't made with milk doesn't mean it skips out on the fat
Lactose producst don't get their fat JUST from milk, for example
100g of Lactofree semi hard cheese has 27g of fat (17.2g saturates)
and on average, regular cheese at 100g contains 33g of fat (21g saturates)
The calorie difference at this weight is 344kcal for Lactofree and 403kcal for normal cheese
So as you can see, the difference isn't that staggeringly different!
At the end of the day these products are here to replace lactose and NOT fat!
Solution - Cut down on the cheese!! I am such a cheese lover, but I need to cut down a lot

Problem #3 - Bread
Is it a British thing to want to shovel half your meal into bread?
It's like everything I eat has to be eaten in the form of a sandwhich lol
Soup too hot? Blowing each spoon ful sucks, so eat it with bread until it's cooled down
Solution - No more bread with ANY meal!!
Not at all, bread is now only for sandwhiches or occasional toast
Try substitute with rye bread where possible,
it's better for your and can be bought flavoured to eat alone as a snack

Problem #4 - Fruit

How is fruit a problem? I get cravings for fruits and I don't always have those ones in
Or my work rota will be all over the place so the fruit doesn't last long enough for me to have time to eat it
(LAME excuse I know, but it's stupid how much fruit I dont eat because it ends up being too late!)
Solution - Get a darn lunch box and take fruit to work

Problem #5 - Take away weekend laziness
On Friday and Saturday I just persume the food I will get is a take away and so this is what I do
When I lived alone I was in flats and hardly bothered to order food for the sake of complications
and by the time I get down from my floor, and take the food back up it would have been cold haha
So I literally only ate takeaway when I came home for the weekend or over holidays
Now Im home all the time, its just takeaway galore
Solution - Super cut down, and change what I usually order to a 'healthier' option where I can

I refuse to stay this weight, I can feel it effecting my asthma and thats not good
Simple tasks and walking distances are 'harder' especially on my breathing and it's just not right
I have done my best to make my room dust free as possible lately and now the real battle begins!

(ノ*>△<)ノ☆F i g h t☆ヽ(>△<*ヽ) I CAN DO THIS
