Fukubukuro quality

When it comes to Fukubukuro, you will either get one of 3 types of bags
The first; items from a previous season or collection (each bag is different)
The second; items made specifically for the fuku bag (a set bag for everyone)
The third; a mix of the above

People appear to prefer the second type, when items are new and made for the bag
But me personally, I don't, I can live with the third type where its mixed
When items are picked from a previous season, these are store quality items
They were made to be sold at prices higher than the value of your fukubukuro
When items are made, they are given a RRP, however they are made to the value of the bag

So, items from previous collection... contents worth more than the (usual) 10,500yen
Items made for the bag... contents made to the value of 10,500yen

It's easy for me to just go out and say this and it sound like an opinion
But I do have a little way of proving my theory!!

To do this, let's compare some W♥C sweaters
The grey being from a fukubukuro and the blue bought from store...
Can't you already see some difference?


Size; Not much different but noticeable in the neck
Grey jumper is more like a regular sweater and Blue hangs a bit more off the shoulder


Print; as you can see the grey print is alot more bolder, and takes away from the worn look


Print; a close up here, the print is also, heavier, thicker...
You can see it doesn't have the same look as the store bought item for sure


Thickness; This was hard to prove, but the grey sweater is for sure thinner
I hope I showed the difference here ok, they were both folded in the same way


The grey sweater was tagless but quoted to have the same value as the blur store sweater
Yet they are produced differently, so not of the same value surely?

I'm not trying to bitch about W♥C here
I'm merely showing a difference between the different types of fukubukuro items
and I hope this can help anyone still sitting on the fence about buying the bags!
