I have been meaning to post this for some time and here it finally is!
A step by step guide of how I open my lenses
The best of all is it doesn't recquire you to touch them with your hands
I hope the pictures are all ok, I don't have the best camera in the world hah
To start with, you need to find the opening point
Ususally some kind of arrow shape as above, they differ between brands
Using your thumb push the plastic lid upwards on the opening point
It will begin to remove the metal casing from the top of the bottle
Continue this until you make a break in the side of the metal
You can remove the section with the lid attachment
Now you can begin to unwrap the metal until it is completely removed
Be carefuly here as the metal can be sharp
You may prefer to use some kind of tool, like pliers in this section
With the metal casing removed you can pop off the rubber lid!
Nice and simple hehe, you now has access to your lense
Now starts my personal tips on removing the lense from the bottle itself!
Pour out a majority of the solution into a container (or sink if you are able)
Allow some solution to remain so the lense is still covered
Using lense tweezers, often found in pretty lense cases and travel kits
Fish around for and pinch the lense gently
You can not easily remove the lense from its bottle
Place the lense into clean solution
It's recommended to leave it to soak and clean before using
I usually like to leave it 24hrs until I wear them!
Though, here is a problem you can encounter...
Your metal casing may not always open evenly and leave you stuck!
Using some scissors that have a thinner point at the tip
Take small snips at the base of where the casing has not broke
(In this case as the base of the tear, where it points)
Snipping will cause the metal to break open
and now you can access your lenses!
Hurray ♥ (^_-)☆wink
I'm not too sure if this could become a little series here on the blog
I do have other ideas lined up etc, for these types of Lense Tip posts!
I also have older lenses that I can experiment with to test out weird theories etc hehe
So, all circle lense related questions are welcome! ★
Whether you need help, reccomendations or want to know my personal preferences
